London: Actress Emilia Clarke is known as the 'Dragon Lady' when she goes into her local shop here to buy groceries because of her "Game of Thrones" character.

The 28-year-old actress is always recognised by the staff who are fans of the HBO series, in which she plays Daenerys Targaryen, and they affectionately refer to her as the blonde queen who controls three dragons, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

"(When I go in) they will say, 'Oh, hello, Dragon Lady'. It's like, 'Oh, that's my face on a magazine... Okay, morning, could I just have the milk, please'," Clarke said.

Although she is very popular in her local shop, Clarke, who is believed to be dating her "Terminator Genisys" co-star Jai Courtney, doesn't get any attention when she is out with her "Game of Thrones" co-star Kit Harington, who plays Jon Snow.

She said: "I'll be in the loo and hear these girls saying, 'I don't know who she is but that's Jon Snow.' You can't go anywhere without him being mobbed."
