Emma Thompson finds immortality terrible

London: Emma Thompson has revealed that she has no desire for immortality as she finds it a terrible thing.

Despite receiving her very own star on Hollywood``s legendary Walk of Fame, the actress has insisted that she doesn’t want to be immortalised in any form.

"I have no desire for immortality whatsoever. I think it`s a terrible thing to want and it`s a peculiarly masculine thing to want monuments," the Mirror quoted her as saying.

The 51-year-old also said that she never could have imagined she`d receive such an honour when she was growing up.

"I think I would have believed it even less than the Oscars," she added.
