Emraan Hashmi is the most underrated hero: Salman Khan
Mumbai: Bollywood star Salman Khan is all praises for fellow actor Emraan Hashmi, saying he is the most underrated actor in the industry despite having delivered many hits.
Emraan`s recent films like `The Dirty Picture`, `Jannat 2` and `Murder 2` have been successful at the box office.
"Emraan Hashmi is the most underrated hero. He should get his dues. He is giving hits after hits today. He is the most celebrated name. I like him and his work," Salman told reporters here at the music launch of `Ishkq in Paris`.
The 46-year-old actor was also seen praising and bullying actress Preity Zinta, the star and producer of `Ishkq in Paris`.
"She is a very good producer. It is a fact that she can never keep quiet. It is a very nice romantic film... I have seen the rushes and I liked it, " Salman said.
Preity also showered praises on the actor. "Salman is a good friend. He is a solid guy. When nobody was there with me during the court cases relating to IPL, Salman was the only one who stood by me," Preity said.
The actress said that Salman had helped her a lot in terms of music of her film `Ishkq in Paris`. "He has taught us about music. He has been the inspiration behind the music," she said.
Prem Raj, who made his directorial debut with the not-so-successful `Main Aur Mrs Khanna` starring Salman and Kareena Kapoor, has helmed `Ishkq in Paris`.
"I can assure this film (`Ishkq in Paris`) will be a good one. This film is nothing like `Main Aur Mrs Khanna`. Though the film did not do well but he (director Prem Raj) did a good job," Salman said.
After the release of `Main Aur Mrs Khanna` there were reports that Salman shared a cold vibe with the director. "I had also read that... But it was nothing like that. There was no enmity between us," he said.
The music of `Ishkq in Paris` was released by Salman, the chief guest for the event, who has also done a special song with Preity in the film.
Releasing on November 2, `Ishkq in Paris` also stars Rhehan Malliek and french actress Isabelle Adjani. The film marks the debut of Preity as a producer.
