Evergreen hero Dev Anand to be cremated in London

Bollywood’s evergreen romantic Dev Anand, who passed away in London on Saturday night following a cardiac arrest, will be cremated this week in London.

Mumbai: Bollywood’s evergreen romantic Dev Anand, who passed away in London on Saturday night following a cardiac arrest, will be cremated this week in London. Talking to a daily, Anand’s manager said, “He will be cremated in London only after Tuesday. Cremation cannot take place till his daughter reaches there. His body is kept in a hospital right now.” The legendary actor is survived by his wife, former actress Kalpana Karthik, son Sunil and daughter Devina. A few Bollywood celebrities are also expected at Dev Anand’s cremation. Dev Anand was not keeping well for the past few days and had come to London for a medical checkup. Ruling the silver screen for more than six decades, Dev Anand gave hits like ‘Taxi Driver’, ‘CID’, ‘Paying Guest’, ‘Hum Dono’, ‘Prem Pujari’, ‘Hare Raama Hare Krishna ‘Jewel Thief’ and ‘Guide’.
