Mumbai: With Karan Johar and Ram Gopal Varma it can never be truce. Both coming from entirely two different schools of filmmaking, they don’t hesitate to take pot shots at each other every now and then. Latest has it that a series of fresh spats on Twitter has started a new war of words between the two ace filmmakers of Bollywood.
There has been no end to both directors rubbing each other the wrong way since some time now. The newest broil ensued as RGV tweeted about what he feels about the kind of films that KJo makes.
Varma’s new film ‘Rakhta Charitra’ releases next week and the statement which triggered the spat was when he said, “Rc has no loving families...it only has warring families. So all those who liked kabhi khushi kabhi gum better stay away from Rakta charitra.”
In reply, Karan Johar who actually was on a so-called Twitter sabbatical tweeted, "Apparently Rakhtcharitra is not for people who liked K3G!! Didn`t know planet pluto had multiplexes!! Aliens can`t wait to see it!!"
To which Ramu in his own tongue-in-cheek humorous style replied to Karan and said, “@kjohar25 ha ha ha ha that`s a super one karan" He also went on to add, "Having said that rakta charitra is meant for men in women and not for women in men.”
Well, whatever be the fate of RGV’s movie at the Box Office, one thing is for sure - the warring directors can be a bigger hit and can be more attention grabbing than their respective movies at the Box Office.
