The actress, best known for playing Samantha Jones in the "Sex And The City" franchise, will be presented the Golden Gate Award in San Francisco May 14. According to dailystar.co.uk, the award is given to those whose work increases "the understanding and visibility" of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community. "Kim Cattrall has not only grown acceptance of our community through story lines on shows like `Sex and the City` but used her platform to speak out for equality.
