Mumbai: Lyricist Gulzar is doing the Hindi translation of two poems of Rabindranath Tagore for Subhash Ghai`s upcoming Bengali film, `Nouka Dubi`, directed by
Rituparno Ghosh.

The film will release on the 150th birth anniversary of the Nobel-laureate, on May 6, as a tribute, as it is based on one of Tagore`s own stories.

The film`s Hindi version is called `Kashmakash`. Gulzar, an acclaimed poet himself, is well-versed with
Bengali. He was impressed with the Bengali version of `Nouka Dubi` and readily accepted the offer to pen the lyrics for Hindi version, sources said.

Shreya Ghosal would be singing the songs in both Bengali and Hindi versions.
