London: Oscar-winning actress Gwyneth Paltrow says she has learned to balance work and likes to stay at home with her children.
The 38-year-old star, who has children Apple, seven, and Moses, five, with husband Chris Martin, admits feeling "fulfilled" as she has mastered the art of working less and spending more time with her children and spouse, reported Contactmusic.
"I enjoy being a mother and staying at home and looking after my kids. I like being able to take the children to school and to make their food and spend a lot of time with them. It`s a much more fulfilling kind of life for me. It`s a lot easier now.
"I`m happiest when I`m sitting down for dinner with my family," said Paltrow.
The `Country Strong` star admits that though she is a strict mother, yet she is compassionate about her children.
"They`re really good kids. They`re polite and well adjusted and they have good hearts. We`re strict with them to an extent but we also try to be respectful of who they are and work with them when they really want something.
"For instance, Apple has been wanting to get her ears pierced from the age of two. Our nanny is Spanish, so the kids both speak Spanish and are very much connected to the culture, and in Spain girls get their ears pierced when they`re born.
"Apple would see little Spanish girls and say, `Why can`t I have my ears pierced too?` When she was five, we let her have her ears pierced," added Paltrow.
