London: Halle Berry’s stalker has been a ordered to stand trial after he showed up at the actress’ Hollywood Hills home for three days in a row in July.

The man accused is Richard Anthony Franco, and he has been charged with on one count each of stalking and residential burglary.

The Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Melissa N. Widdifield has denied a defense motion to dismiss the case against Franco who is currently jailed on 150,000 dollars bail.

Although, Berry was not called to testify, the security guard who worked for the actress and a LAPD Detective, John Gregozek who was investigating the case appeared in court to give their testimony.

“She was afraid for her safety and that of her daughter, as well,” the Daily Mail quoted the police detective as saying.

“She hired armed security to stay at her residence 24 hours,” he added.

Franco, 27, has been barred from coming within 500 yards of the ‘Monster’s Ball’ actress and her home, and is due back at the downtown Los Angeles courthouse on Oct 31 for arraignment.
