New Delhi: Controversy's own child, actor Sanjay Dutt celebrates hi birthday on July 29. The intense actor has turned a year older today, but unfortunately could not be with his loved ones on the big day. Sanju Baba, who has two kids from wife Manyata—Shahraan and Iqra is currently at Pune's Yerawada Jail.
Before Manyata entered his life, Dutt had married actress Richa Sharma in 1987. However, she died of brain tumour in 1996. They have a daughter, Trishala, who lives in the US with her grandparents. Dutt's second marriage was to model Rhea Pillai in 1998, but they got divorced in 2005.
The actor, who made his super debut on the big screens in 1981 with 'Rocky' has a string of hits to his credit. His movies such as 'Vidhaata', 'Main Awara Hoon' and 'Jaan ki Baazi' were runaway hits at the Box Office window.
Born to legendary stars Sunil Dutt and Nargis, Sanjay always had a troubled life. In early days, he suffered from drug addiction, post dealing with it he managed to hit back with blockbuster films but eventually controversies didn't leave him.
His movies such as 'Tejaa', 'Khatarnaak' 'Zahreelay', 'Thanedaar', 'Khoon Ka Karz', 'Yalgaar', 'Gumrah', 'Sahibaan', and 'Aatish: Feel the Fire' were loved by all. In the early 90s, he did some different films as well, like 'Sadak', 'Saajan' and 'Khal Nayak', for which he earned his second Filmfare Best Actor Award nomination.
However, in April 1993, he was arrested, charged with involvement in the 1993 Mumbai bombings and his career hit a road block. The actor, did strike back one more time with films such as 'Mission Kashmir' , 'Jodi No 1', and 'Lage Raho Munna Bhai'.
Dutt is currently serving his remaining 42 month prison term in connection with the illegal possession of arms in 1993 Mumbai blasts.
