New Delhi: Bollywood’s ‘Khalnayak’, Sanjay Dutt, who is currently lodged in Pune’s Yerawada jail, has turned 54 today. The actor is away from his family, but his B-town friends and close buddies have left no stone unturned to make Dutt’s birthday special.
According to a tabloid, Sanjay’s close friends Ranbir Kapoor, Rajkumar Hirani and Bunty Walia have specially written letters for him. The letters were posted so that, the actor can read them on his birthday.
"Several Bollywood folk want to wish him on his birthday. They want him to know that he is remembered and missed. As writing letters is the only way to communicate with him and greet him, they have expressed their thoughts for the star," a source said.
"It is highly unlikely that his family members can meet him on the day. As visits are restricted to once a month, their next meet is due in August," another source added.
Dutt, who surrendered on May 16, has to serve remaining three and a half years of jail term, after being convicted under the Arms Act for illegally possessing banned arms and ammunitions.
