New Delhi: Salman Khan’s ‘Mental’ – which is one of the most talked about releases of 2013 – is a satirical take on the contemporary society.
The super-talented actor, who has played a variety of roles since his entry into Bollywood – action, comedy and romantic – is all set to give a piece of his mind on the situation prevailing in today’s times.
If rumours are anything to go by, ‘Mental’ – which is tentatively titled so – is a remake of the Chiranjeevi-starrer Telugu film ‘Stalin’, which was released in the year 2006.
“The film isn’t a pure satire like ‘Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro’ (1983). But it does mix up Salman’s forte — action and comedy — with several moments of satirical humour,” a leading daily quoted an insider as saying.
Chiranjeevi’s ‘Stalin’ revolved around a man whose mission to help others and the make the world a better place to live in.
“Neither Salman nor Sohail wants to make it a preachy film. It’s going to be high on entertainment like all of Salman’s other films,” the insider said.
The movie, which will mark the debut of newbies Daisy Shah and Sanaa Khan in Bollywood, also stars Tabu and Mukul Dev.
This will surely be worth a watch!
