I didn’t ask for special screening of ‘Singham’: Raj

Mumbai: Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray, who had reportedly asked Ajay Devgn to organise for a special screening of his latest film ‘Singham,’ which released yesterday, has categorically denied the news.

The politician, who had earlier made headlines for telling Aamir Khan to arrange for a screening of his adult comedy ‘Delhi Belly’ for him and his friends, denied approaching any of his Bollywood chums for such a favour.

Clarifying his stand on all false news that has been doing rounds, Raj, while talking to a tabloid said, “I have a lot of friends in the industry like Arbaaz Khan, Sajid Khan and Sajid Nadiadwala. But I have never asked them for a screening of their films. I did not ask for a screening of `Singham` either. I prefer to buy tickets and watch a movie.”

The controversial politician even said that it was Aamir who had invited him for ‘Peepli Live’ and ‘Delhi Belly’ and that he had never asked the perfectionist star for any screening.

“Aamir Khan had insisted that I watch ‘Peepli’ and ‘Delhi Belly’ at his screenings as he had invited other friends; that`s why I had gone along,” Raj said.
