New Delhi: She is known for her power-packed performances in `Dev D`, `Sahib Biwi Aur Gangster` and `Paan Singh Tomar` but Mahie Gill says she never wanted to become an actress.
The 38-year-old actress said the audience`s love pushes her everytime to sign a new project.
"I never wanted to become an actress but I am thankful to God that whatever I am doing and have done in the past people are appreciating my work. So, I just take the dare and come onscreen," Mahie said.
Last seen in paranormal comedy film `Gang of Ghosts`, Mahie, who is currently filming Punjabi movie `Carry on Jatta 2`, wants to try out different characters as an artiste.
"I want to do something that excites me. If I don`t like a particular role or a script I don`t do it. I need something interesting everytime," she added.
The actress was in the Capital to promote hair care brand Pantene`s new range. Mahie feels that it is difficult to manage hair in metropolitan cities.
"I had good hair when I was in Chandigarh. But when I moved to Mumbai, my hair quality deteriorated due to the pollution. I do not experiment much with my hair and have been using the shampoo since childhood," she said.
Mahie has so far shared screen space with Irrfan Khan, Abhay Deol , Kalki Koechlin, Jimmy Shergil and Priyanka Chopra among others.
