Mumbai: Actress Katrina Kaif, who will be seen opposite Shahrukh Khan for the first time in Yash Chopra`s next film, says she was intimidated by the superstar but later found him to be very dedicated and helpful.
"With regards to Shahrukh, I did not know him that well at all. I would have said five words to him in my entire life. With SRK, who is a superstar I have worked this year, after being in the industry for nine years," Katrina told PTI.
"You constantly see that person on TV, in media, movies and everywhere. So for me a little sense of intimidation was there when you are actually in front of him.. Which I later found funny," she said.
Both are paired opposite each other in the untitled film directed Yash Chopra is a romantic drama, written and produced by Aditya Chopra. The film also features Anushka Sharma in a pivotal role.
The film, believed to be a love triangle, marks the return of Yash Chopra as a director after a gap of eight years, his last film being `Veer Zaara` in 2004.
After having started working with King Khan, the 28-year-old actress is all praise for him.
"When I started working with him, it was great. Shahrukh as an actor is extremely dedicated, he is not thinking about himself or not thinking about how many years he is in the industry. He is extremely helpful. He has also worked with Yashji earlier, so he knows his style of working... He knows what Yashji is expecting from me... What he is trying to say to me," Katrina said.
