Imran, Ranbir open a new chapter of enmity
Mumbai: The two young guns of Bollywood, Imran Khan and Ranbir Kapoor, who are often known for their love-hate relationship, are all set to add a new leaf to their existing animosity.
Imran Khan and his ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’ co-star Ali Zafar have become thick friends. The cute actor has been promoting his Pakistani counter part, who made his debut in Abhishek Sharma’s comedy satire ‘Tere Bin Laden’. The singer-actor is a celebrated pop-star across the border.
RK is doing something similar. He is busy providing a bigger platform to his friend Atif Aslam (Ali Zafar’s arch rival), who also hails from Pakistan. The handsome singer has lent his voice to songs featuring kid Kapoor. It seems as if Atif was born to sing for Ranbir! And the duo bond very well.
Talking to a daily, a source said, "Ranbir is fond of Atif, who has given him one of his most memorable song (Tu jaane na from `Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani`).Now that the singer is about to make his acting debut in Bollywood, RK has become his mentor and is guiding him. Similarly, Imran helped his co-star Ali break the ice with leading lady Katrina Kaif, and supporting him in every which way. There is a feeling in the industry that the two young actors of B-town want to promote their respective `friends`."
Both Imran and Ranbir have huge and powerful families in Bollywood to back them. This is why they can take all the liberty to rub each other the wrong way! Both are leaving no stone unturned to promote their friends from neighbouring country.
Nonetheless, Ranbir-Atif and Imran-Ali duos are equally good looking. And no matter what they do, they have a sea of female fan waiting to see them perform.
