New Delhi: In the aftermath of the hullabaloo and confusion that overshadowed the issue of Bollywood actor Aamir Khan no longer being the face of Incredible India, the Union Minister of State for Culture & Tourism Dr. Mahesh Sharma cleared all confusion on Wednesday that Khan was no longer the face of the campaign – as his contact had expired.
All this confusion and criticism for Khan that came along with it were not enough to put down the spirit of 'Dangal' actor who has come forward for the first time to show his respect for the decision taken by the government.
The actor said that whether or not he is the brand ambassador, India will always remain incredible.
ANI quoted Aamir as saying, “I respect the decision of the government to discontinue with my services.
It is prerogative of government to decide whether they need brand ambassador for any campaign, and if so, who that ambassador should be.
Whether I am brand ambassador or not, India will remain Incredible, and that's the way it should be”.
