Indian arches, ruins to be recreated for Gaga`s performance

Greater Noida: She`s on her maiden visit to the country and pop sensation Lady Gaga is leaving no stone unturned to woo her Indian fans as her performance tonight at the Formula One after-party will see the usage of the country`s ancient sculptures, arches and ruins as props.

"She`s extremely excited to perform here tonight. She will be using loads of Indian elements in her performance to be in sync with the country.

"Her performance will see usage of precious and ancient Indian stones, ruins and arches. Her piano is made of marigold stone," actor Arjun Rampal, who is hosting the three-day after parties at Jaypee Integrated Sports Complex here, said last night.

The 25-year-old American singer visited the venue and rehearsed during the day time Saturday along with six band members.

"She practised here today with her six band members.

She`s happy with the way her stage is done. Her costume during the performance will also have Indian connect to it," Rampal added.

Though Rampal didn`t confirm whether Gaga will walk the red carpet of the event but he assured that his co-actor in `Ra.One` Shah Rukh Khan will definitely grace the occasion.

"I have put my request forward to Gaga but she hasn`t confirmed yet. But I am assuring that today you will witness the mega event with our G.One (SRK), Hrithik Roshan and other F1 racers," said Rampal who is the co-owner of Lap, which is organising the event.

Unlike the opening day, the day two of F1 party saw loads of Bollywood celebrities like Preity Zinta, Fardeen Khan, Sudhir Mishra and Nikhil Advani attending. Telugu superstar Venkatesh Daggubati was also among the attendees.

Romanian House musician and DJ Edward Maya, who was set to entertain the audience, said, "I will be using the flute in my peformance to connect with India. I will be playing tracks from my album `The Stereo Love Show`."
