James Gandolfini`s last TV show `will not air`

London: A drama pilot featuring one of James Gandolfini`s final performances will never air, it has been revealed.

Speaking to The Television Critics Association, HBO Programming president Michael Lombardo said that the ` The Sopranos` star, who died of a heart attack in June in Rome, had shot a pilot for ` Criminal Justice `, the BBC reported.

Lombardo said that he could not imagine the show airing because the 51-year-old actor would not continue with the drama.

He asserted that it was difficult to think of recasting that part and was unclear what the future was for the project.

The show is an adaptation of the 2008 BBC series and saw Gandolfini playing a NYC attorney.
