Jay-Z, Ashley Cole team up for charity restaurant

London: Hip-hop mogul Jay Z is joining hands with soccer ace Ashley Cole to open a restaurant to provide work for jobless youngsters.

The `Empire State of Mind` hitmaker is launching the venture in London and will employ school-leavers from underprivileged backgrounds, reported Daily Mail.

The pair has also pledged to donate a portion of the eaterie`s profits to charity.

Jay Z and Cole, ex-husband of British pop star Cheryl Cole, met in New York to discuss the project last month after they were introduced by a mutual pal.

"It`ll be the hottest place in town," said Jay-Z.

Cole said, "I`m delighted to be working with Jay-Z. I have grown up listening to his music so to be doing business with him is amazing. The projects will be delivering much-needed funds back into sport and music on a community level."
