Jennifer Lawrence, Katy Perry big winners at People`s Choice Awards
Los Angeles: ‘The Hunger Games’ star Jennifer Lawrence and pop star Katy Perry have swept the People`s Choice Awards.
Lawrence came out on top with six gongs at the awards announced last night. She won in categories like Favorite Movie Actress, Favorite Face of Heroism and Favorite On-Screen Chemistry. The actress was accompanied by co-stars Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth on stage to accept the trophies.
Perry was the fan favourite in top music categories, including Pop Artist, Female Artist and Music Video (`Part of Me`), while her blog KatyCats won Favorite Music Fan Following.
Lawrence also accepted trophies for Favorite Action Movie and Favorite Movie Franchise for "The Hunger Games".
`The Wanted` were named Favorite Breakout Artist, beating Carly Rae Jepsen, Fun, Gotye and One Direction to the title at the fan-voted awards.
One Direction, with their hit What Makes You Beautiful, beat out Carly Rae Jepsen (Call Me Maybe), Maroon 5 (One More Night), Taylor Swift (We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together) and Fun ft Janelle Mon?e (We Are Young) for Favorite Song.
Robert Downey, Jr walked out with two awards, taking home Favorite Movie Actor and Favorite Superhero.
Emma Watson took home two of the People`s Choice crytal statuettes. She won the trophy for Favorite Dramatic Movie Actress, while her film `The Perks of Being a Wallflower` won Favorite Dramatic Movie.
Sandra Bullock was named Favorite Humanitarian for her work with her work with New Orleans` Warren Easton Charter High School.
