Jennifer Lopez celebrates birthday in Miami

Los Angeles: Pop star and actress Jennifer Lopez happily celebrated her 42nd birthday despite her recent split from husband Marc Anthony.

The `On the Floor` hitmaker, who split from her husband of seven years and the father of her three-year-old twins Max and Emme, earlier this month, celebrated the day at a Miami hotel with friends and family, and enjoyed the evening despite her recent personal troubles, reported People magazine. "Jennifer looked radiant in a purple and silver evening dress. And when they brought out her birthday cake after the meal, she began to sing. "She was very happy. The whole group had a blast, staying for hours. They closed down the restaurant," a source said. Lopez enjoyed the night and was also "chatty" with other revellers at the event and enjoyed an extensive menu of lobster peanut butter and jelly and chocolate souffle. "Jennifer absolutely loved it. When the waiters brought the souffle, they sang `Happy Birthday` to her while pouring everyone a crystal goblet of champagne. "The meal was served on a long rectangle mirrored table with cloud-like chandeliers hanging above. She was chatty and charming," the source added. PTI
