New Delhi: The six-page letter – which was allegedly written by late actress Jiah Khan – was handed over to the police by her family on Saturday.

The letter is said to have thrown light on the tumultuous relationship between Jiah and her boyfriend – Suraj Pancholi.

According to DNA, the police now plan to send the letter for forensic examination and will be taking legal opinion on it later.

“We have received the letter from Khan’s family. A handwriting analysis will be done, followed by legal opinion,” VN Patil, additional commissioner of police, said.

Family sources have revealed that the police officials did a panchnama of the letter in the presence of independent witnesses and they will also be recording the statement of Jiah’s family members again over the letter.

It has earlier been revealed that Jiah`s family members had provided a notarised copy of the letter to the investigators.

According to reports, the note says, “You have cheated me. I trusted the relation. You didn`t care about the relation. By the time you will be reading this letter, probably by then I won`t be there in this world.”

Jiah, 25, was found hanging at her `Sagar Sangeet` residence in Juhu at around 11 PM on Monday, where she lived with her mother and sister, who were not present when she ended her life.
