Washington: Jim Carrey took to Twitter on Sunday to apologise for the offensive remarks he has made in the past about gun owners.
One of tweets by the comedic actor read that he did not agree nor fear his assault rifle fans, but he does love them and he felt sorry that in his outrage he called them names, Fox news reported. He wrote that calling names is inappropriate but his position on assault weapons hasn`t changed. The Hollywood star made the apology just a few weeks after he withdrew his backing for his forthcoming flick ` Kick-Ass 2,` saying that he couldn`t support the movie`s level of violence. ANI
