JLo hasn`t yet helped her old school despite huge `Idol` deal

New York: While Jennifer Lopez has snagged a whopping 12 million dollar deal with ‘American Idol’, she hasn’t as yet give some of her millions to her old school in the Bronx.

The ‘Jenny From the Block’ singer went to Holy Family School in Bronx.

"Jennifer hasn`t even sent us a CD," the New York Daily News quoted Principal Claire La Tempa as saying.

In fact, JLo`s mother, Guadalupe, was a kindergarten and gym teacher at Holy Family, which repeatedly gets four stars academically on greatschools.com.

"Lupe was wonderful, a sweetie, and wonderful with the kids," said La Tempa, who over her 34 years at the school taught Lopez`s sister, Emmy-winning newswoman Lynda Lopez, and watched Jennifer grow up.

"When Jennifer became famous, I asked Lupe if Jennifer could donate a scholarship in her name, and Lupe just said, ``Uh-uh! That`s her money and that`s it,``" she added.

But with the kind of money JLo is earning, giving some to her old school wouldn’t really hurt her pocket much.

However, Lopez did tell Larry King she wants to bring health care "to children all over the planet," and help with education.

According to Forbes or Fortune, Lopez is worth anywhere from 110 million dollars to 260 million dollars- and that`s before her "Idol" payday.
