Joblessness forces model to commit suicide

New Delhi: Despair and hopelessness take a toll on a number of aspiring actor and models and their stories bring forth the sordid tale of the glamour world. But, what startles the conscious is the fact that how frustration of not getting substantial work, forces someone to end their life. In a similar case, a small-time model, Mona Khanna is reported to have committed suicide at her Versova apartment by hanging self from a ceiling fan.

The 28-year-old model Saiyyam Khanna, better known as Mona, is said to have left a suicide note, in which she has written that she has decided to end her life as she had no offers coming her way. The actress was under depression due to lack of work, reports suggest.

Reportedly, Mona was having trouble in her personal life too. Her boyfriend had connections with some high-profile people. The actress, who was struggling for past five years tried to make her mark in the industry and did two films. She featured in 'The Haunted House' and the yet-to-be-released 'The Last Horror'.
