Jodie Foster to be honoured at Golden Globes

Veteran actress Jodie Foster will be conferred with a lifetime achievement award at the prestigious Golden Globes awards ceremony.

Los Angeles: Veteran actress Jodie Foster will be conferred with a lifetime achievement award at the prestigious Golden Globes awards ceremony to be held next year.
The 49-year-old, who started acting at the age of three and has dedicated over 40 years to showbiz, will receive the Cecil B DeMille award, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) has announced, reports people.com. Announcing the honour for Foster on behalf of the HFPA, actress Kristen Stewart, 22, said: "This is a special moment for me. She`s been really important in my life for a long time." HFPA president Aida Takla-O`Reilly described Foster as "one of a kind", adding: "Jodie is a multi-faceted woman (who) has achieved immeasurable amounts of success and will continue to do so in her career."
