Johansson`s mother adopts Ethiopian girl

Hollywood star Scarlett Johansson has become a big sister again as her mother Melanie Sloan has adopted a baby girl from Ethiopia.

Los Angeles: Hollywood star Scarlett Johansson has become a big sister again as her mother Melanie Sloan has adopted a baby girl from Ethiopia. Sloan gave her daughter`s `Iron Man 2` premiere a miss as she was on her way to Ethiopia to get her new daughter, Fenan, who is about 19 to 20 months old, reported Us magazine online.
However, Sloan`s journey to pick up little Fenan had several unexpected stops because of the volcanic ash cloud. She was stranded in Germany for several days due to this. "The volcano put the whole adoption process in jeopardy due to time constraints. But it worked out in the end," said a source. Johansson, 25, who already has three older siblings - Vanessa, Adrian and Christian, along with her twin brother Hunter- might follow in her mother`s footsteps soon. The `Vicky Cristina Barcelona` star and actor husband Ryan Reynolds, 33, intend to adopt very soon. Reynolds, who has an adopted brother, recently said in an interview, "I couldn`t be more pro-adoption. There are plenty of kids in the world that need it." PTI
