Johnny Depp named Highest Paid Actor in Hollywood

London: Johnny Depp is the highest paid actor in Hollywood, according to Forbes. The actor earned 50 million pounds, all thanks to his role in Alice in Wonderland. Depp portrayed the Mad Hatter in Tim Burton`s 3-D version, reports a news daily. The Disney film grossed 1 billion dollars at the worldwide box office, making Depp the only actor to headline two 1 billion dollars films, the other being Pirates of the Caribbean. Depp also landed a big upfront payday estimated at more than 15 million pounds for The Tourist starring alongside Angelina Jolie. Last year, Depp was 10th place on the Forbes annual list of top earning actors with a salary of 18 million pounds. Ben Stiller came second in the list with 38 million pounds. The top 10 are: 1.
