Kanye West sparks controversy with tweet about abortion

Los Angeles: Controversial rapper Kanye West`s tweets about abortion have caused uproar, with many including British singer Lilly Allen, branding his opinion ‘sick’.

The 33-year-old rapper went on a rant saying that ‘gold diggers’ get pregnant on purpose so that men have to spend money on abortions.

"An abortion can cost a man to 50gs maybe a 100. Gold diggers be getting pregnant on purpose. It ain`t happen to me but I know people," he wrote on Twitter.

Allen, who recently suffered her second miscarriage, took to the social networking website and wrote that West`s comments are wrong on ‘so many levels’.

"Never has a tweet put me in such a bad mood. This is wrong on so many levels," she tweeted back to West. Despite the building resentment over his expression, West has not apologized for what he wrote yesterday.

On his Twitter feed, the rapper seems to have already moved on, tweeting only ‘luxuryrealness’ after the abortion-related tweets.
