Kareena to pay homage to Shammi Kapoor

Mumbai: While the world remembers the yesteryears iconic star Shammi Kapoor as the ultimate romantic hero, the legend’s grandchild Kareena Kapoor plans to pay tribute to the deceased star in a special way. Offering homage to her late grand-uncle, Kareena will be performing on Shammi Kapoor’s favourite numbers from his movies. Kareena will get jive at an awards event to be held later this month. Kareena happens to be Shammi Kapoor’s elder brother, Raj Kapoor`s granddaughter and was said to be very close to her uncle. Bebo went into a complete state of shock on hearing the news about her grand-uncle’s death. Recently, Ranbir Kapoor had also paid tribute in a similar manner at the recent AR Rahman show for his upcoming film ‘Rockstar’. Well, great cousin think alike.
