Katy Perry in seventh heaven after baked beans and meat pies reunion
London: Katy Perry is on an eating spree at the moment and has been binging on baked beans and meat pies ever since she arrived in the UK for her tour.
Earlier this year, Perry had revealed her fondness for canned beans in tomato sauce and said that she could not wait to get back to the country to satisfy her cravings for the savoury snacks.
The singer is completely in awe of traditional British cuisines, and this time she has fallen in love with a range of other British dishes she has been trying on the road.
The singer recently enjoyed a locally produced meat pie with Yorkshire pudding in an eatery at Sheffield.
“She tucked into a meal. We first introduced her to Yorkshire pudding. She thought it was funny that we ate puddings as starters but once she got her head around it Katy loved it,” the Daily Star quoted Justin Rowntree, owner of the restaurant, as telling Sheffield Star newspaper.
“Then she had a Whirlow Hall Farm meat pie and Henderson’s Relish gravy which she devoured.”
Expressing her love for British cuisines, Perry tweeted, “FINALLY! Beloved ENGLAND! 1st thing I did was stuff me gob (my mouth) w/some yorkshire puddings & meat pies from Silversmiths in Sheffield. Ah bless... See you soon... if I can stop eating these yorkshires.”
And later, she added, “Yes, proper beans on toast... I’ve missed you.”
