Katy Perry who recently parted ways with husband Russell Brand has urged fans to avoid "gossip" about their marriage breakdown.

London: Katy Perry who recently parted ways with husband Russell Brand has urged fans to avoid "gossip" about their marriage breakdown.
Brand had cited "irreconcilable differences", when he filed for divorce from the pop star Dec 30. Both stars have kept quiet since the news broke, but Perry has now taken to her Twitter to address the numerous rumours about their romance.
"Concerning the gossip, I want to be clear that no one speaks for me. Not a blog, magazine, `close sources` or my family," dailystar.co.uk posted Perry`s tweets.
Perry tied the knot with Brand in a lavish ceremony in India in October 2010.
