Having spent her entire student life abroad, the girl has stayed away from her parents and her native land India for a long time. Priyanka has done her graduation in Business Administration from Royal Holloway, University of London in 2003. Later, she pursued a course in Business Administration and Fund Raising for Non-Profit Organizations from New York University. She also learnt to dance while pursuing a non-certified course at the Martha Graham School of Dance in New York. Priyanka is currently working with an NGO named ‘Artistes Foundation for Arts’ initiated by her family and has also been helping her mother to raise funds for several other orphanages. Priyanka Alva is soon to be married with Vivek Oberoi. October 29, 2010 has been fixed as their wedding date.
