Mumbai: Model-turned-actress Kriti Sanon, who won the Best Debut Female award for “Heropanti” at the 60th Britannia Filmfare Awards ceremony, celebrated the victory with her friends here. She says the “celebration was due for long”.

"I have been dreaming of the Filmfare black lady from the day I realised that I wanted to be an actor. The award is special not just for me but for all my friends and family back in Delhi. So this celebration was long due," said the actress who hails from Delhi.

Kriti's friends flew down from Delhi to Mumbai for the bash held Friday night. It was a cosy affair with her friends, who have seen her work her way into the industry, cherishing the win.

Kriti got the award at a ceremony held last month.
