Lady Gaga going on media hiatus

Washington: Lady Gaga has taken a vow to stay mum and withdraw herself from any media/public appearances for “a very long time”.

The 25-year-old made the confession to Oprah Winfrey during her one-on-one interview with the media mogul for Oprah’s Next Chapter: Lady Gaga.

“Other than this interview, Oprah, I do not intend to speak to anyone for a very long time,” Us magazine quoted her as telling on the show.
“The latest thing I do is I don’t read a damn thing,” she said about limiting her media intake.

“No press, no television, if my mom calls and says, ‘Did you hear about?’ I don’t want to know nothing about anything that is going on in relation to music. I shut it all off,” she said.

The singer’s silent vow seems to fall in place with her appearance at the 2012 Grammy Awards Feb. 12.

Rather than making headlines like in past years, the star, who didn’t present or take home any awards, skipped the red carpet and was shown sitting quietly in her seat.
