Lady Gaga made an honorary Australian citizen

London: Pop star Lady Gaga has been made an honorary Australian citizen during a trip to the country.

Gaga was in the city, earlier this month, to promote her latest album ‘Born This Way’ and stage a show at Sydney Town Hall July 13.

She was handed a prestigious honour by Sydney mayor Clover Moore, reports contactmusic.com.

"Thank you to the Mayor of Sydney, steadfast Glbt (gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender) activist, for making me an honorary Aussie Citizen," the 25-year-old posted on micro-blogging site Twitter along with a picture of her special certificate.
