`Lag Ja Gale` is still fresh after 50 years: Lata Mangeshkar

Zee Media Bureau/Aparna Mudi Mumbai: Lata Mangeshkar`s hauntingly melodious song, `Lag ja gale` for the film `Woh kaun Thi`, has completed 50 years today. The Nightingale of India posted on her official Twitter account about the everlasting composition by Madan Mohan:

Namaskar. Is varsh" Lag ja gale ke phir ye hasee'n raat" is geet ko 50 saal pure ho rahe hain.aisa madhur geet aaj bhi purana nahi lagta.

Incidentally the song was used by Karan Johar in his short movie for `Bombay Talkies`. The song has also been used for many advertisement campaigns owing to its romantic mood.
