Lata Mangeshkar thwarts rumours about being sick

New Delhi: The `Nightingale of India`, Lata Mangeshkar has spoken out on the popular social networking site, Twitter, squashing rumours of bad health. Soon after the news of the death of yesteryear actress Nanda spread, rumours of the veteran singer, Lata Mangeshkar, having a heart attack also went viral. Lata ji, posted on her official Twitter page that all is well. She posted:

Namaskar. Meri tabiyat ke baare mein afwaayein phail rahi hai. Par aap sab ka pyar aur duaaien hain ke meri tabiyat bilkul thik hai.

(Namaskar, rumours about my health are spreading. But your love and blessings are with me and my health is perfect.) Other celebrities like actor turned politician Smriti Irani and filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar also posted that the 84 year old singer is hale and hearty and the rumours are baseless.
