Lennon’s application for US residency pulled from auction by FBI

Washington: Former ‘Beatles’ member John Lennon’s application for US residency has been pulled out of an auction after the FBI claimed it was government property.

A representative for ‘Gotta Have It! Rock & Pop Culture Auction’ revealed that the documents are under investigation.

“The item has been under investigation by the FBI because it is considered government property,” TMZ.com quoted the rep as saying.

The auction house has removed the document, which had been priced at 100,000 dollars as the starting bid.

“There is currently an investigation regarding the John Lennon documents in the auction and it’s being headed by the FBI,” a government official stated.
