Lindsay Lohan sparked "escape fears" from house arrest

London: Hollywood hell raiser Lindsay Lohan has got her faulty electronic ankle bracelet replaced after it sent a false alarm about her escape from house arrest.

Authorities had rushed to the 25-year-old actress` Venice beach home after her faulty bracelet sent an escape alarm, reported a website.

The `Mean Girls` star, who was sentenced to jail for violating her probation from a 2007 DUI charge by stealing a necklace from a California jewellery store, is serving her time under house arrest due to prison overcrowding.

The troubled star was found watching TV in her house by the officials.

"When a representative from the monitoring company went to her home, the representative found Lindsay there. The equipment was replaced the following day," said Lohan`s lawyer Shawn Holley.
