New Delhi: British model-actress Elizabeth Hurley who is cheering on Australian spin legend Shane Warne in stadiums across India is so in `love` with cricket that she missed the telecast of the royal wedding to watch a game.
The 45-year-old who recently filed for divorce from Indian industrialist Arun Nayar, has been travelling across the country to cheer on her new love, Warne. "Yes! Love cricket now. Dying for a re-run of the wedding on TV, missed watching it for cricket," wrote Hurley on the micro-blogging website Twitter. Warne, 41, is leading the IPL team Rajasthan Royals and the couple`s public displays of affection in the stadiums has been splashed across newspapers. The `Austin Powers` actress was introduced to cricket during her trip to India with Warne. Hurley watched her first IPL match at Mohali and then travelled to Bangalore and Jaipur. Rajasthan Royals, which won the IPL in 2008, have been buoyed by back-to-back wins on their home ground at Jaipur. "Just watched cricket in the baking heat Jaipur. Nail biter. Well done, Royals!," Hurley tweeted after the Royals defeated Mumbai Indians led by Sachin Tendulkar. Though Hurley has gradually started to understand the rules of the game, the hot Indian summer is making her sweat. "Way, way too hot for me. We had to wolf all our chocolate in one go before it melted-that was our excuse, anyway," she tweeted. PTI
