New Delhi: Ranveer Singh, whose latest at the box office – ‘Lootera’ – has received rave reviews and thumbs up from almost all critics and the audience alike, can celebrate his 27th birthday with extreme happiness this year. Reason being the rising star, who turned 28 on July 6, has perhaps already received his birthday present in the form of the response to ‘Lootera’.
Born in 1985 to Jagjit Singh Bhavnani and Anju Bhavnani of Mumbai, Ranveer had always wanted to be an actor. His dream finally saw the light of the day when he made it to the auditions of Yash Raj Films’ ‘Band Baaja Baarat’. The actor played a Saharanpur lad with noT much ambition in life and the way his life changes after coming in contact with Anushka Sharma’s character. ‘Band Baaja Baarat’ turned out to be a sleeper hit, and the rest, as they say, is history.
After the success of his debut film, Ranveer played a conman in ‘Ladies vs Ricky Bahl’. Despite largely mixed reviews for the film, Ranveer was generally praised for his performance.
Thereafter, director Vikramaditya Motwane zeroed in on Singh for his period drama ‘Lootera’. Paired with Sonakshi Sinha, the actor played his part exceptionally well.
As he turns 28 this year, post ‘Lootera’, we wish he continues his classy work… and here’s wishing the young actor a very happy birthday!
