London: Sir Paul McCartney said that he might be the first guy ever to get punched by a president, after he serenaded US First Lady Michelle Obama with the lyrics "I love you, I love you, I love you". At a White House event honouring his contribution to music, McCartney dedicated a rendition of the Beatles` love ballad "Michelle" to the US President Barack Obama’s wife, Michelle.
He said he`d been "itching" to perform it at the White House, and apologized to the President in advance. He was later presented Gershwin Prize for Popular Song, awarded by the Library of Congress. "I don`t think there could be anything more special than to play here," The Telegraph quoted him as saying, offering to make it a regular gig. "Lunchtimes, we could come around," he added. "We`re cheap." McCartney praised Obama saying, "You have billions of us who are rooting for you and we know you are going to come through." Later, he expressed appreciation for the Library of Congress and added, "After the last eight years, it`s great to have a president who knows what a library is." ANI
