Madge credits ex-hubbies for ‘encouraging her career as director’

New York: Madonna has credited her ex-husbands Guy Ritchie and Sean Penn for encouraging her filmmaking career.

According to The Huffington Post, the pop queen revealed at the Venice Film Festival, where her latest film ‘W.E.’ was being premiered, that she got attracted to both the directors for their creativity.

“I am and was attracted to very creative people which is why I married Sean Penn and Guy Ritchie, two very talented directors,” the New York Daily News quoted Madonna as saying.

“They both encouraged me as a director and as a creative person to do what I did, and they were both very supportive,” she added.
