Mark Wahlberg set to host 2014 Kids` Choice Awards

Mark Wahlberg has been roped in to host Nickelodeon`s 27th Annual Kids` Choice Awards.

Los Angeles: `Max Payne` star Mark Wahlberg has been roped in to host Nickelodeon`s 27th Annual Kids` Choice Awards.
The event, which takes place at the University of Southern California`s Galen Center, will air on March 29, reported E!Online. "We are thrilled to welcome a superstar like Mark Wahlberg as he takes the helm as our master of ceremonies at the biggest kid event of the year," said Nickelodeon`s Russell Hicks. "We can`t wait for him to host and have lots of slime-filled fun with Hollywood`s biggest stars and our audience," Hicks added. The 42-year-old actor, will be next be seen in director Michael Bay`s `Transformers: Age of Extinction`. Josh Duhamel hosted the show last year.
