Miley Cyrus` father wants her to be happy
Los Angeles: Teen star Miley Cyrus` musician father Billy Ray Cyrus says he wants his daughter to be happy.
Billy, who was on the verge of spliting with Tish, his wife of 17 years last year, later called off their decision for their daughter, reported People online.
"We`ve always had a slogan in our family: `If you ain`t happy, it ain`t working.` You need to love what you`re doing.
"As long as she`s happy and loving making music and I know she loves acting that`s all that matters," said Billy.
The musician had earlier blamed Miley`s celebrity status for the problems in their relationship is happy to bond with her again.
"Keep it real. Be who you are and do what you do because you love it. Nothing else in this business is worth it. Don`t be chasing fads or trying to necessarily be the guy that`s trying to fit in with everybody else," added Billy.
As for the downsides of fame, Billy says, "It`s important to stay focused on where you want to go, what you`re all about and what you want to do with your work."
