London: Singer-actress Miley Cyrus says she does not worry that her controversial image could be alienating younger fans who enjoyed her work in Disney`s `Hannah Montana`.
The 20-year-old `We Can`t Stop` hitmaker, who has come up with a new song `Dancing with Molly`, said the series was just a way for her to achieve her real dreams, reported Contactmusic.
"I`m not really worried about alienating fans. Everyone has to work on the things that they don`t care about to get where they want to be.
"I had to do that for five years but I knew when I was older I would be able to do what I wanted eventually. Everyone has to work on something they don`t love to get to something they do love," she said.
The lyric of the song `Dancing with Molly` raised eyebrows because it was claimed she was singing about ecstasy but her producer insisted the line is `Dancing with Miley`.
"It depends who`s doing what. If you`re aged 10 it`s `Miley`, if you know what I`m talking about then you know. I just wanted it to be played on the radio and they`ve already had to edit it so much."
