Oscar winning Hollywood veteran Morgan Freeman did ads for burger joints

Los Angeles: He is an Oscar winning Hollywood veteran but before he was famous, Morgan Freeman was doing advertisements for burger joints.

The 73-year-old actor who was the special guest on The Jay Leno Show looked embarrassed as the TV host played a 1970`s commercial starring him. "Do you remember auditioning and doing, a McDonald`s commercial, maybe in the early `70s, with Donny Most from `Happy Days`?" Leno asked. Upon realising the ad he was referring to, Freeman gave the host an angry glare. "I was sandbagged. I know you`re going to show it, you dirty rat. But what you`re going to see is not what I auditioned to do," said the `Million Dollar Baby` star. Freeman jokingly threatened never to return to the show after the clip was aired. PTI
