My remuneration has become zero: Akshay Kumar

Mumbai: Infamous for his exorbitant fee, actor Akshay Kumar reveals after turning a producer with his banner Hari Om Productions that his fee has become zero.

"My remuneration has become zero now because I have become a producer. I make films, release them and whatever profit comes from it is mine. So I can’t charge myself to do a film," Akshay, whose "Housfull" did a good business at the box office, told IANS.

"Moreover there is no stress when you become a producer of a film because there is no tag to what kind of money you are charging. What actually kills a producer is an actor’s remuneration. When it becomes zero there is no stress. The budget cuts down absolutely by more than half," he said.

The star is currently co-producing Farah Khan`s "Tees Maar Khan".
